Judy Skinner is a member of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (MCSP) and registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC). She is also a member of the Association of Chartered Physiotherapists Interested in Neurology (ACPIN), The Association of Chartered Physiotherapists for People with Learning Disabilities (ACPPLD) and  a Member of the Association of Chartered Physiotherapists working with Older People (AGILE).


Judy qualified as a physiotherapist in 1983 from Addenbrooke’s School of Physiotherapy, Cambridge. She has specialised in Neuro-Physiotherapy since 1985, gaining extensive and diverse ranging neurological experience through working within the NHS in a number of London Hospitals including St Bartholomew’s, St. Thomas’, the Wolfson Rehabilitation Centre, St Georges Hospital, and the National Hospital for Neurology and
Neurosurgery. After moving to Somerset in 2000 she combined private work with working in the NHS at Musgrove Park Hospital, Taunton on the Neuro-Rehabilitation Unit at Alfred Morris House and subsequently Triscombe Ward prior to moving fully into the private sector in 2009. 


She works with people with a number of different neurological conditions including those who have suffered from Traumatic Brain Injury, Spinal Cord Injury, Stroke, Multiple Sclerosis,Parkinson's Disease, Cerebral Palsy, Neuromuscular Conditions and Guillan Barre Syndrome. She also works with people with post-operative mobility difficulties and those with a combination of Complex Physical Disability and Learning Disability.


Judy has completed a number of postgraduate courses in the Treatment and Management of Neurological Conditions including gaining a Master’s Degree in the Bobath Concept of Treatment. 


Judy uses a problem solving and goal directed approach to the management and treatment of her patients which includes the Bobath Approach.
